Project by Instituto Pró-Onça Selected for the Paris Peace Forum 2025

We are proud to share that the project Jaguar Women for Climate and Conservation, led by Instituto Pró-Onça, has been selected among global initiatives for the Paris Peace Forum 2025.

Out of more than 300 projects from over 80 countries, only 30 initiatives were chosen to be part of the forum’s official program, recognizing concrete solutions to global challenges.

Our project focuses on restoring ecological corridors in the Cerrado, connecting biodiversity conservation, climate action, and the leadership of rural women. The initiative integrates native species nurseries, technology-based jaguar monitoring, and local income generation.

As part of this participation, our founder, Letícia Benavalli, was also invited to share this work on an international stage, presenting the project and highlighting the role of local communities in conservation.

This recognition reinforces the potential of community-led solutions to address the climate crisis and protect biodiversity.
